Our debut album
Tacora Cello Ensemble is working towards the recording of Terra Viva, our debut album and a new chapter in our exploration of the cello.
Over the past two years, we have developed a repertoire of original arrangements and compositions for four cellos, inspired by folk traditions, rhythms, and stories from different places. Through this process, we have discovered new possibilities for the cello and shaped our own sound as an ensemble.
Now it is time to bring Terra Viva to life in the studio and share this music with the world!
Latin American and Spanish folk
New versions and original compositions for 4 cellos
Music from Latin America and Spain meets the richness of the cello. Cuban rhythms, tango, and Spanish folk traditions from regions such as Galicia and Extremadura are transformed into a new language for four cellos.
In Terra Viva, these influences come together in a sound world full of rhythmic energy, interaction, and musical curiosity. The program includes arrangements of works by composers and songwriters such as Arsenio Rodríguez, César Portillo de la Luz, and Julián Peralta, alongside traditional folk music from Galicia and Extremadura, regions connected to the roots of some of the musicians.
Terra Viva will be released in March 2027, followed by a concert tour in the Netherlands.
